If you require a quote on CCTV cameras always ask for the TVL, this is like the mega pixels on a normal camera, and look at the IR LED's, they need to generate enough infra red lights or you will not see anything at night, Normally it is rated in distance like 25 m or 100 m, also note that this distance is not the distance the camera can see, it is the distance the IR can shine,​

The lense can also be 1/3 or 1/4 inch and makes a difference. The distance the camera can see is determine by the lens, 3.6mm is wide and the higher the number the further it can see, but the lower the number the wider it can see.​

It should not effect the price and should be chosen according to the location to be viewed.
The camera is the most important part, it is better to have one camera that can see in the dark than 10 that can't, so we recommend anyone of these cameras, they are infra-red (IR) cameras,​
The LED's produce a type of light that the camera can see in while still being dark, the more LED'S and the bigger the size, the better the vision at night, The TVL (TV lines) is also directly linked to quality picture although most cameras see quite good during daytime, the real problem is to see well at night.
